Every IndieWatch strap is born in a workshop in La Carolina, Jaén, where hands have ruled for twenty years. We do not buy straps: we commission craftsmanship.
A watch settles on the wrist through its strap. That is why ours does not come off an assembly line: it comes off an Andalusian workbench.
Jacob Straps is a Spanish artisanal atelier with twenty years’ experience stitching watch straps. They work as things were once done: the leather is cut, skived, edge-dyed and stitched entirely by hand, with the utmost care lavished on every detail.
For IndieWatch they craft the house leathers exclusively: the half-padded alligator of the Trencadís pieces and the Zuoletán calfskins of the Strum — Premier, Gosbi and Castellano — in padded and flat profiles. Each leather is chosen for the way it ages: a Jacob strap does not deteriorate over the years, it becomes yours.
That is why every watch from the house is delivered with its strap included, and why we also sell them separately: to change the strap is to change the watch without changing the watch.

Two decades stitching for exacting watchmakers. Experience cannot be imitated: it is accrued, stitch by stitch.
Leathers of the first order
Calfskin from select tanneries and exotics such as alligator. Every batch is examined by hand before cutting.
Hand-stitched
From the cut to the painted edge, each strap passes through the same hands. No assembly lines, no haste, no two straps alike.
Made to the house’s measure
Padded, flat or racing: each profile is developed together with our atelier to marry the case that carries it.
