El Diseñador es el más distinto de la serie, ese verde tan poco visto engancha. Cero pegas en el envío, dos días a Valencia.

“Before it roared, every engine was a drawing. The designer is the first to see the whole machine.”

THE TACHYMETER SCALE

An onboard calculator

The outer ring is not decoration. Time a kilometre and the hand points to your average speed: 500 at the top, 60 at the bottom, twenty-two values. This is how the pace of a stage was measured before electronics existed, and this is how it still works.

THE DIAL

Drawing-board green, marker-pen orange

Forest green as a base and an orange counter that leaps to the eye: the colours of a 1950s drawing board. The tachymeter ring graduates from orange to green around the dial.

Trencadís sketch

First it is drawn

Twelve radii, two counters and a ring. Everything else comes afterwards.

The Strum Series 113 is drawn in the language of the chronographs of the 1960s and 1970s: cushion case, twin counters, tachymeter scale, the colours of the track. It copies no particular watch. It pays tribute to the pioneers of that era — drivers, mechanics, engineers, designers — and each model in the series bears the craft of one of them.
