The Strait of Gibraltar is a geographical funnel: a corridor where mythology placed the Pillars of Hercules and where the landscape accelerates the wind until it becomes something physical, hard and tangible. Tarifa began life as a fishing enclave battered by storms, but in the eighties a tribe of windsurfing pioneers discovered that this climatic anomaly was the ultimate canvas. Today the Valdevaqueros cove is the wind capital of Europe, and the Hydra Serie 229 carries that extreme resilience into mechanical watchmaking: steel, 200 metres and a legibility conceived to read the time through the spray
